As such, through this course, you will be asked to engage in a Read, Reflect, and Respond (RRR) paper to showcase your ability to take in information, assess your self/thought process, and develop a response. For this module, you will be writing your RRR paper (2-3 pages, double-spaced) based on the importance/impact of diversity (as well as where it can go astray) and your reflection based on the article “Making Differences Matter” Download “Making Differences Matter”by Ely and Thomas from HBR’s 10 Must Reads on Managing Across Cultures. When you engage with your reflection and response, think about groups/teams/organizations that you have been part of that have been both homogenous and heterogenous. Think about times in which “sameness” has been powerful and problematic; flip this around and think about times in which a lack of “sameness” has been powerful and problematic. Examine insider/outsider (in-group/out-group) norms and language and write about how you, in leading your organization (now or in the future), will approach diversity.
