Based on allocation (see attached), I attached a friend’s paper (Solving the Problem), you can pick that topic if you would like to assist with writing the paper and reference are there to use. The points mentioned below are guidelines to provide more clarity as well as steer everyone on the right track. These are critical details I will be looking at when grading your paper and they are also common mistakes committed every semester. For your awareness.

From the instruction (see attached), you need to explain the ADM activity of your choice. As you described, remember to use examples to illustrate your explanation. An example can be a scenario of Russia/ Ukraine, Iran or classroom ADM’s activity etc. You decide which example suit your paper best.

In the instruction, it stated that you need to describe the importance of using ADM key concepts. There are several key concepts in ADM like operational art, collaboration, dialogue, system thinking, visual model, and narrative (refer to ATP 5-0.1, page 1-5). You need to embed and discuss some of these elements in your paper to meet the requirement of describing key concept. If not, your score for content will be affected. This is one of the most common mistakes.

In the instruction, it stated that you need to describe the importance of using tools and techniques. There are several tools and techniques in ADM like brainstorming, meta-questioning, and 4 ways of seeing (refer to ATP 5-0.1, page 3-6). You are not meeting this requirement if you did not embed and discuss some of these elements in your paper.

In the instruction, you are required to envision how you going to facilitate your chosen activity. You can envision using capacity as Ops SGM, 1SG, etc. You decide which suit you best. You can write this envision with a few sentences in every main paragraph or have one isolated paragraph, up to you. Most importantly, you write how you facilitate your chosen activity (for example – Framing the problem) and not facilitate ADM as a whole.

Last, do not regurgitate from the ATP 5-0.1. This is the most common mistake I have seen so far and it will result a big hit to your score. You need to use your own words to analyze and demonstrate your understanding of your chosen activity. One way is to use an example or scenario to augment your explanation.

I wish you all the best for your paper and feel free to approach me if you need any clarification.
